Water is a major component of blood, which transports nutrients and helps remove waste substances from all parts of the body. Water helps keep tissues moist, such as the eyes, nose and throat, enabling them to function properly. The kidneys and liver use water to remove toxins and other waste products, water helps hydrate muscles, it helps soften stool, which can help reduce constipation, and it helps skin from drying and cracking. And, I could go on and on and on, but, as you can see, water is a vital nutrient for life. And those are the major functions of water in the body.
