The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) Center at Ohio University is a part of an area called Diversity, Access and Equity. The mission of the LGBT Center is to meet the needs of the LGBT students and to make the campus welcoming for them. Another part of the LGBT Center’s mission is to educate the entire campus population and to raise awareness about the LGBT issues. “The reason I came to Ohio University was because I was looking for a LGBT friendly campus. It’s a really accepting environment and people are going to love you regardless. ” says Riana Brewer, freshman, English major at Ohio University.
