Then each follicular unit is extracted individually from the back of the head. The follicles are then implanted where needed in pre-prepared slits at the correct density and angulation. The transplanted hairs fall out after 3 or 4 weeks as they enter a rest phase but the follicle remains healthy under the skin. After 3 to 4 months they start to produce new hairs which are healthy, natural and permanent.
