Upon doing a lipid profile test if you find out that there is an increased or elevated level of LDL also known as the low density lipo protein and increased levels of triglycerides that indicate that there is a high risk of cardiovascular disorders. High intake of trans fats or saturated fats through junk foods and fried foods in combination with unhealthy lifestyle habits such as low exercise, stress and sleeplessness can be huge factors that can cause cardiovascular diseases. Along with these intake of alcohol or smoking can also contribute towards an unhealthy lipid profile. So if one wants to bring the levels down it requires correction of lifestyle by putting together a routine for sleep, exercise and to manage stress along with healthy eating habits. Including healthier fats everyday can bring down the LDL or total cholesterol levels and increase the HDL levels which is also known as the good cholesterol which is what is necessary. Some of the good sources include plant based cold pressed or filtered oils flax seed oil, olive oil, canola oil or even peanut oil, nuts such as almonds, walnuts and pistas. You can also include lot of seeds such as flax seeds, chia seeds, watermelon seeds, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds. Definitely including fish is a good option if you want to have healthy fats. Even pure dark chocolate when consumed 3 to 4 times a week can help you bring down the LDL levels. Apart from these a lot of herbal remedies such a s aloevera juice, lemon water, amla juice etc can be consumed every morning so that we can bring down the cholesterol levels. Therefore a good intake of healthy foods, about 60 minutes of exercise everyday, 6 to 8 hours of quality sleep and probably about 10 to 15 minutes of meditation to bring down the stress can overall help to reduce the cholesterol levels significantly.
