this middle aged male patient with history of heavy ethanol abuse presented with chronic anemia and splenomegaly and OGD was planned for him which showed multiple pathologies: 1-grade one esophageal varicies 2-lower esophageal ulceration 3-prominent area gastricae and diffuse gastropathy which is consistent with portal hypertensive gastropathy as part of the alcohol induced chronic liver disease 4-multiple erosive gastric lesions with oozing of altered blood 5- multiple plaque like lesions in the first part of duodenum
