Minoxidil is a very common medicine used for the treatment of hair loss especially in men. There are a lot of drawbacks for this. There is lot of dryness which develops on the scalp and the hair. So it is obvious that the patients have to do something to condition the hair post the application of minoxidil. Usually I advice you to apply the oil after an hour of application of minoxidil so that the medicine absorption is not hindered by the oil. Usually it is applied as a bed time application. So apply minoxidil, wait for about half an hour or 45 minutes, then apply the oil to the hair and minoxidil to the scalp. If you apply the oil before the minoxidil then it is possible that the minoxidil is not well absorbed into the scalp so that the oil forms a barrier and it cannot penetrate and enter the scalp.
