In this video we go through how to do the leg raises exercise to work your lower core and abdominals. We also cover doing alternating leg raises as an alternative exercise. Transcript/notes Leg raises exercise Start by lying on the ground with your legs extended, your arms extended with palms down and have a slight arch in your back so that your butt and upper back are your main areas of support on the ground. From this position, slowly raise your legs up in the air to a height that is comfortable for you, then back down to the starting position. If this is too difficult for you, you can raise one leg at a time, alternating legs. If you have lower back issues, this is not an exercise you should try, as this exercise will work your lower core and lower back. Typically 3 sets of 5 to 10 repetitions for this exercise.
