A simple, animated and conceptual explanation! Pharmacokinetics refers to what happens to a medicine from entrance into the body until the exit! To be exact; What are the effects OF THE BODY ON THE medicine when it is roaming around inside your body. The effects can be remembered by this mnemonic ADME. Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism and Excretion. It’s a pretty straight forward concept. A medicine enters the body via different routes and a percentage of that medicine enters the blood stream. Then it is used by the body, followed by it’s transformation into a substance that is easily excreted out of the body. SIMPLE!
