This video shows a diabetic patient with intramuscular injection abscess which was drained. Such abscesses result from inappropriate technique of intramuscular injection. Such injection abscesses are seen in immunocompromised patients such as in diabetics with uncontrolled diabetes. Staphylococcus aureus is the most common culprit of IM injection abscess.
