In a prediabetic state, you have either hypoglycemia or insulin resistance that later turns into diabetes. A big indicator that you may have this condition is not being satisfied after a meal. In a cell that has insulin resistance, the fuel is blocked and can’t go into the cell. The cell is starving of fuel and certain nutrients. In a normal cell, the fuel can go in easily. When the cell is starving of fuel, it sends a signal to the pancreas telling it to produce more insulin. Instead of consuming more food or something sweet, you may want to add more fat to your diet. Fat will not increase insulin by much. Adding more fat can help you feel more satisfied. Over time, if you’re not hungry and eating the wrong foods, you may be able to heal insulin resistance.
