Pain in the tubercular spine, might last for a long time. One may be the pain may be related to the destruction and the collapse of the vertebra and the pathology around the vertebra. So once the ESR is coming done, then it means that the disease activity is coming down. Biochemical marker of the ESR may not be directly correlating with the radiological evidence. Radiologically it may take a longer time for the spine to heal. After healing, there might be some mechanical problems. It may take few months or years to take complete healing of the tubercular spine and to get relief from the pain.
