Does NoFap ACTUALLY Increase Testosterone Levels? | THE TRUTH About NoFap And Hormones Hey, It’s Scandinavian Bob here with another video for you about nofap and testosterone. Before we start I would like to remind you to subscribe because there will be a lot more videos like this in the future and I don’t want you to miss out on them. Does nofap increase testosterone? Ok, so there are so many nofap youtube channels where they always talk about how nofap increases testosterone levels but is that just talk without anything to back it up? Does nofap actually increase testosterone levels? Here’s the deal. Take a good look at this picture from a study made on blood testosterone levels in men when abstinence from ejaculation. As you can see there is a big spike on day 7, it actually starts to go up on day 6 and then on day 7 there is a huge spike on day 7 and then it goes back down on day 8. It goes back down to your normal levels even if you keep yourself from ejaculating. So it is actually a big myth that nofap increases testosterone levels in the blood as it’s only on day 6,7,8 that testosterone levels are higher when abstaining from ejaculation. However, not so fast, there’s actually more going on here. There have been made studies on rats that show that ejaculation causes temporary reduced androgen receptors. Now, if you watched my videos on dopamine you know that the receptors play a big part in how we can utilize the chemical or in this case hormone, testosterone. Does Nofap really increase testosterone? In some cell types, testosterone interacts directly with androgen receptors, whereas, in others, testosterone is converted to dihydrotestosterone. In other words if we ejaculate a lot then we will have less androgen receptors and thus we can not utilize testosterone as well as we can when we go on a nofap journey and abstain from ejaculation. So this means that the effects we feel from abstaining is like we are having higher levels of testosterone even though the blood testosterone levels actually are the same. So one could say in a very simple way that nofap makes our bodies and brain more effective at using the testosterone we have. And thus the effects are the same as if testosterone itself would be higher. This can indeed explain the increased confidence, mental clarity and strength and many of the other benefits people experience on a nofap challenge But studies show more interesting things here…you see another thing that happens is that frequent ejaculation causes HIGHER estrogen receptors. Now estrogen is the female sex hormone and this means that people fapping a lot to internet p nowadays may be utilizing the female hormone estrogen to a HIGHER extent than men should be doing. This could be another explanation why men who goes on a long nofap journey start to feel more manly…because the reduction of estrogen receptors and thus they are no longer utilizing the female sex hormone as much. This is very interesting and these could be some real biological factors explaining some of the benefits people experience on nofap but I suspect there are more going on than this and I will be making more videos on this in the near future. Ok that’s it for today, I hope you found it informative and if you did please consider subscribing for more videos and I will make more videos. This is Scandinavian Bob Signing out, keep going and stay strong. Thank you for watching this video about nofap and hormone levels.
