I’m excited to have my first dexa scan at 29 years. Now I have a baseline to improve upon. Next year’s scan I am aiming for five more pounds of lean mass and a body fat% less than 10%. It was an enjoyable experience with Body Spec. I highly recommend it to anyone who would like a more accurate way to track their training progress. The scan itself took seven minutes and then they described the results, which includes a six page report. In total, it required about 20 minutes. I was pleased to hear that less than 16% indicates an elite athlete’s body composition. My bone density is higher than 99% of men, and my musculature is balanced, despite dislocating my left shoulder last year. I filmed this with a Sony NEX-5R with a Rokinon cine lens, 16mm T2.2.
